Paw Justice is an organization that was formed to help deal with the problems of animal abuse and neglect, which has grown at an alarming rate which is stretching the resources of all animal welfare agencies. We have taken upon ourselves to fight for your animal's rights. We love and appreciate the work that is done by all animal shelters but even they could not forsee the rapid increase in animal abuse within our society.
This is why Paw Justice was created, as we believe that there is no excuse for this shocking behavior. Paw justice is for YOUR pet, this is YOUR campaign to give YOUR pet a voice.
Greyhounds are affectionate, gentle and intelligent dogs. Each year many retire from racing and hope to start a new life as a pet. Greyhounds usually make this transition with ease and become devoted companions. As our 600 plus owners agree - a greyhound makes a very special addition to the family. Greyhounds As Pets (GAP) operates through two kennel bases, one in each island. Our Greyhounds are carefully assessed and then matched with their new owners – we act a bit like a dating agency. Our Greyhounds also visit our vet for a health check, neutering and microchipping. And we ensure that their vaccinations and council registrations are up to date.
The Cats Protection League (Wgtn) Inc. was founded in 1982 by Catherine de la Roche, and was amongst the first purely voluntary New Zealand charities devoted solely to the welfare of cats.Objectives
To take in displaced or unwanted cats and kittens and rehome them where possible. To inform the public on the care of cats and kittens. To encourage the neutering of all cats not required for breeding.
The trust is a 'watchdog' registered Charitable Society with a dual purpose - to act on behalf of animals and birds to defend them and protect their rights, and to safeguard them from abuse. Our core objective is to find caring homes for displaced pets. With our very limited financial resources, our greatest asset is the time given by our volunteers.
